Kecia Carroll
My Favorite Book:
I read mostly historical fiction and what I call geographical fiction, any book that allows me to learn about a different place or time. I couldn’t pick just one favorite.
Why I serve
I’ve had a library card for as long as I can remember. When I was young, it was always about the reading. I couldn’t get enough. Later in life it also became a place to study, think, meet, and learn. I love that when you step into any library, you’ll see people learning at every stage of life — discovering new ideas, cultures, histories, and perspectives far beyond their own lived experience. I wanted to be part of something that touches so many people’s lives in such a positive way.
