Why I Serve:
I’m inspired to serve on the Board because I believe deeply in libraries and the essential services they provide to individuals in every community across the United States. I’m a strong advocate for the many ways libraries offer access to information and learning opportunities for children and adults alike—all in a safe and welcoming space. Now more than ever, it’s critical that libraries continue to provide these vital resources to all. I’m honored to support the Library Foundation.
Lisa Silvershein is a retired Human Resources professional who specialized in leadership development and career counseling. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.S. in Human Resources Management, and is a Certified Career Coach. Lisa has spent her adult life volunteering for numerous organizations and supporting nonprofits dedicated to making the world a better place. When she’s not in Sarasota, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family in New Jersey and traveling the world.
