Why I Serve:
Every time I think I’ve discovered all our libraries have to offer, I find something new.  It never stops surprising me.  There’s always something for everyone, and all we need is a library card.  I am honored to help spread the word about this valuable community resource through service on the Library Foundation Board of Directors.

Ann Olson relocated to Sarasota from the Chicago area.  She began her career here as a Victim Advocate at SPARCC (Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center).  She then worked for the 12th Judicial Circuit where she retired as Director of Alternative Dispute Resolution for Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties.  Now she enjoys community volunteer work, as well as traveling and reading.
