One Book One Community: March 6, 2026 Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources partnered with the Sarasota Art Museum for an unforgettable One Book One Community reveal. Take a look! Patrick Bringley, author of “All the Beauty in the World”  will be speaking on Friday, March 6 at two separate events: 10:30 am at the Suncoast Technical College Conference Center (adjacent to Shannon Staub Library) and 7 pm at the Selby Library. Attendance is free and open to the public.   The Library Foundation is the proud sponsor of this wonderful event that connects our community and our libraries.  Year-End Giving to Maximize Impact As the year comes to a close, please consider making a charitable gift that supports our libraries and may offer you meaningful tax benefits! IRA Gifts: If you’re 70½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA may count towards your Required Minimum Distribution while also reducing your taxable income. The Fruitville Library will close December 18 to begin this important work. While Fruitville Library is closed for renovation, you can access full library services—including computers, study and meeting room spaces, expanded collections and in-person programs—at nearby locations.
