Save the Date to TRIPLE Your Impact at the 2026 Giving Challenge
The countdown has begun for the 2026 Giving Challenge presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. This exciting 24-hour online giving event – April 15-16 from noon to noon -- creates an opportunity for library supporters to TRIPLE their impact. All individual gifts between $25 - $100 will be matched by The Patterson Foundation. And thanks to our generous Emeritus Board Members, the first $10,000 in individual gifts will be TRIPLED. Together we can strengthen our libraries so they can continue providing books, access to technology, and a wealth of life-changing information for our community. Learn more here.
One Book One Community. One Amazing Event.
Thank you to our many Leaders Circle donors who joined us for a special author reception March 6 with Patrick Bringley, author of this year’s One Book One Community selection “All the Beauty in the World”. The Library Foundation was proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for this wonderful community event which was enjoyed by hundreds of people who poured in to hear Patrick share his personal stories behind the book. You’ll want to add this one to your “must read” list.
Library Foundation Donors Provide New Audiobooks
Compliments of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County and our generous donors, Sarasota libraries recently added hundreds of new audiobooks for our community to enjoy. More audiobooks will be added throughout the spring. Be on the lookout!

Congratulations Sarasota County Library Leaders
Congratulations to Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources professionals Kristen Means (Selby), Susan Mulvaney (Fruitville), and Victor Otero Cuevas (Elsie Quirk) who recently graduated from The Academy of Leadership Excellence.
