Sarasota County's new Pop-Up Library is here! Staffed with a full-time librarian and outreach specialist, the Pop-Up Library will hit the road next month. Besides providing books and materials, the Pop-Up Library will serve as a mobile Wi-Fi center, offer employment services, and deliver library programming specific to children, families, and senior citizens. We are extremely grateful to the Selby Foundation and to the many library foundation supporters who helped to make the Pop-Up Library possible! 2 Tax-Savvy Ways to Support Our Libraries We’re sharing two ideas that can bring you financial savings while strengthening our libraries: giving from your IRA and donating appreciated stock. If you’re 70.5 or over, you can help support our libraries by donating from your IRA. This may reduce your future tax burden while helping us continue to inspire generations of readers. Or consider joining our other tax-savvy supporters by donating appreciated stock. Not only can a gift of appreciated stock help us support our libraries, but it may also help you save on two types of taxes. Thank you, Gulf Coast Community Foundation! Our Executive Director, Alisa Mitchell, is participating along with 14 other local non-profit leaders. Thank you, GCCF!
