The 2026 Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon is Almost Here
The countdown is on! We’re so excited to welcome author Harlan Coben to Sarasota for our 2026 Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon on February 6. Apparently, we aren’t the only excited ones.
If you have tickets to this event, please visit our website for more event details. This sold-out event supporting our public libraries is made possible by Presenting Sponsor Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Author Reception Sponsor BookStore1, and by the generosity of all our community partners. Can’t wait to see you there!
Two Grants Expand Access to Early Learning at the Library
A BIG thank you to the Koski Family Foundation and the Bladel Charitable Trust for supporting early literacy programs in our libraries. Grants from these two generous donors will fund free multi-year access to the ABCmouse Early Literacy digital platform, ensuring thousands of preschoolers have access to age-appropriate early learning tools. These grants will help children build the foundational skills needed for school success and provide equitable learning opportunities for families across the county.
This program will add to the libraries’ early learning tools that are currently accessible to all families.
Library Foundation Proudly Supports One Book One Community
We’re excited about this year’s One Book One Community selection - “All the Beauty in the World”. Author Patrick Bringley will be speaking on Friday, March 6 at two separate events:
10:30 a.m. - Suncoast Technical College Conference Center (adjacent to Shannon Staub Library) in North Port
7:00 p.m. - Selby Library in Sarasota
Attendance is free and open to the public. The Library Foundation is the presenting sponsor of this wonderful event that connects our community and our libraries.
Turning New Year Intentions into Lasting Impact
As the new year begins, it’s a natural time to reflect on what we value most, and how we want to make a difference. Many Library Foundation supporters choose to include a gift in their will or trust as a way to ensure libraries continue to thrive for generations to come. Whether you work with your financial advisor or explore the estate planning tools on our website, we invite you to consider a legacy that honors the enduring power of libraries.
